Hi guys,
So its
come to that time of year where people are starting to revise for exams,
whether they are big or little and I don't know about you but I don't think
there's anybody I know who enjoys doing revision. Unfortunately its a thing
that all of us have to do at some point (unless you're a brain box) so I
thought I could give you some advice on how to enjoy revision!
- Find a comfy spot to work
in! In
my personal opinion there is nothing worse than being uncomfortable when
revising, it just makes you feel more stressed. Although, if you find it
easier to work on the kitchen table or at a desk than your bed or a sofa,
then carry on doing so.
- Have some close by snacks. There's nothing that makes
you feel more tired than exercising your brain (especially when its in a
subject you hate!) maybe some close by fruit, chocolate or sugary snacks
will help pick you up so that you can soldier on in the tasks.
- colours! whilst revising,
your brain needs to see some colour and excitement going into those mind
maps or other revision techniques, plus adding colour is a fun thing to do
throughout hours of boredom.
- resting breaks your brain needs time to
rest as much as your legs do after a race. Don't forget to take regular
breaks of 15-20 minutes to help keep your body fuelled and awake
- Water your brain is made up of 75%
water, don't forget to stay hydrated to avoid headaches!
- Turn your phone off A mobile phone or electronic
devise can be a very distracting thing, especially when it is far more
interesting than revision! try to keep it turned off as long as possible
to disrupt your revision flow.
- Fresh air open up a window or maybe go
for a walk as part of your break to keep you body topped up with fresh
oxygen.
- Help! don't be scared to ask for
help if you need it, you can ask a friend, family member or even a
teacher, don't struggle
I hope my
tips help you and I wish you every bit of luck in upcoming exams! :)
from me
xx
